Are you and your pooch headed for Goa for some laid back beach time and fun in the sun? When travelling with a dog, the first thing any owner will do is seek for a hotel that allows pets. For your convenience, I researched and created a list of hotels in Goa that allow pets. My research of the best accommodations for dogs was quite eye opening.
Go-ym Resort
GoYm resort is in Arambol. Arambol is a small village in North Goa The major attraction of this location is its magnificent beach, which draws a large number of visitors each year. It is one of the most popular tourist locations in Goa, particularly for those who wish to enjoy and explore nature as well as the Goan party scene.
A short 5-minute walk will take you to Arambol beach where you can let your dog run free.
The rooms are clean, spacious and have most of the basic amenities. There is nothing luxurious about them, but they are comfortable enough to stay in for a few days. Travellers choose to GoYm to enjoy the beach and it is very unlikely that you would spend a lot of time in the rooms.
The place has a unique vibe that one can only see in Goa. The staff are very helpful and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. The food at GoYm is truly delicious especially the sea food. The Chef will even make the dish according to your taste. The food is fresh and healthy, which makes it a good option for sea food lovers as well.

1918 by Vacasso
1918 by Vacasso is a boutique resort located near Anjuna and Baga beach. It is dog friendly and offers garden view and pool view villas. 1918 by Vacasso is an extremely popular destination in Goa during the tourist season (November – February).
A small group of 4-6 people can fit in the smaller villa, but for a larger group of 10-20 people you should choose one of the larger ones. These are great for families and small groups who want to stay together. The rooms are well lit and is quite a beautiful sight in the morning as the warm sun shines through.
The huge lawn is a place where you can relax with your dog. The lawn is large enough to play ball and even Frisbee.
The beach is around 1.5 km from the property. You can walk to the beach in about 15 minutes or drive there in less than 5 minutes. The beach is clean and beautiful with many activities available for all ages!
Though the property serves food, I would suggest you explore the nearby restaurants because Anjuna offers some of the best food joints, cafes, and bars in Goa. You can check out Avalon Sunset, Guru bar and Eva Café.
The place is a paradise for those who are looking for some adventure during their trip. Anjuna beach also has its own charm when it comes to shopping options as there are numerous shops selling jewellery, clothes etc. Just remember to have your dog on a leash at all times during your stroll in the shopping areas as it gets crowded during season.

Palm Trees Ayurvedic Heritage
I have always preferred south Goa. It has a certain tranquillity about it and the pace of life is slow. I feel connected to nature when I am there, more so than any other place in Goa. The beaches are pristine and clean unlike some of the beaches in north Goa. The palm trees that surround the area lend it an airy feel making for a great getaway from city life.
Patnem is a small village in Goa, India. It is one of the best places to relax and rejuvenate your body and mind.
The décor and facilities that one experiences at Palm Trees Ayurvedic Heritage resort is blissful—it has everything one needs to relax after exploring around some of the cleanest beaches in Goa.
The rooms are spacious and airy, with a simple but elegant décor. There is also a large swimming pool on site for guests’ use, as well as a restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. The staff here are friendly and helpful; they will be able to offer suggestions about things to do during your stay in Goa as well as recommend places for eating or shopping nearby. The food served at the resort is also delicious.
If you have a dog and are looking for a place to take him, Palm Trees Ayurvedic Heritage is the perfect destination. The resort has plenty of space for your dog to run around, relax and sleep peacefully.
The resort offers yoga classes and ayurvedic treatments. You can book these in advance.
If you fancy eating outside, then you can check out Sushi Café. The ambience here is quite small but cosy and the food is fresh and served hot.

Bougainvillea
Bougainvillea at Patnem beach is a wonderful place where you can spend your time together with your pet. Your dog will enjoy the warm sand, and you can let him run free in this beautiful beach. The rooms are neat and clean, so staying here will surely add to the overall experience of this trip.
The beach is also the perfect place to meet other dogs, especially if they have owners who like dogs just like yours! This will allow you both to socialize while having fun together.
The food offered at this restaurant is quite delicious. But if you feel like having something different then check out Sea Land, or Temple café. The staff are friendly and helpful. You can’t go wrong here. You can also find good music at their bar which gives an added advantage while spending time together with your pet pooch!
If you feel like venturing out of the resort, then a 5 min walk will take you to Talpona river. This again is a serene and peaceful river where you and you dog can have some quite time walking along the banks of the river.
If you’re looking for a place where you can bring your dog and enjoy good music and good food, then Bougainvillea is the perfect place.

Conclusion
These beach resorts and homestays are ideal for the vacationer looking to bring their canine companion on holiday. As much as Goa has to offer in terms of food, people and places, it is heaven for pet owners with dog-friendly places that are aplenty in Goa. The list below is just a start — I’ll be updating it as often as possible with new dog friendly places where you and your pooch can stay.
